Connecticut Highway On '25 Most Dangerous Roads In US' List A Connecticut highway has made the list of the top 25 most dangerous roads in America, according to a new ranking by Popular Mechanics. Connecticut has the country’s 23rd most dangerous roadway: I-95. The road is particularly treacherous in the 8-mile section around Norwalk, according to the ranking. There are about 735 crashes there annually, the magazine reported. Similarly sized street sections in other cities such as New Haven, Milford, and Greenwich, have about 600 car accidents per year. Deborah Sargent, who opened Clinton’s Sunshine Cafe in 2017 with her daughter Robin Flores and son-in-law Jesus Flores, is seeking to reopen Burditt Hill Market, 363 Main St., according to a special permit application filed with the Clinton Planning Board. Truck Barrels Into Convenience Store A 28-year-old Webster man is facing charges after he allegedly plowed his truck into a convenience store. On Friday, Oct. 23, Oxford Police said the early morning crash happened at the Mobil Fuel Station, 93 Southbridge Road. The Webster man, who police did not name, is being charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, police said. He was slated to appear in Dudley District Court Friday.  Police did not note any injuries when announcing the accident.

In a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter to the state by Amy Dias Mass Mutual’s head of human resources consulting and talent management, Mass Mutual says it will layoff 82 workers at its Enfield facility on Bright Meadow Boulevard.
