Don't Leave Keys Inside Your Car: Five Vehicles Stolen From Berlin This Month Amid a wave of car break-ins, Berlin police are investigating five motor vehicle thefts that occurred just this month. All five vehicles had keys left in them and were unlocked, police said. Meanwhile, Berlin Police have received another 13 reports of thefts from within motor vehicles.  Four out of the five stolen vehicles have been recovered, police said. Tanaja Wilson has been missing since July 14, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She has black hair and brown eyes; is about 5’3” and weighs 130 lbs. Edgardo “Eggy” Rivera, 28, was sentenced July 16 to 138 months of imprisonment followed by four years of parole for fentanyl distribution and firearm possession offenses. Worcester Police Find Injured Child In A Vehicle Damaged By Gunfire Worcester Police responding to a report of shots being fired on Harding Street found a three-year-old with an injured leg in a vehicle that seemed to have been damaged by gunfire. On July 16 at around 8:30 p.m. police arrived on Harding Street and found a car with several people inside, including a three-year-old with a wounded leg. It is unclear if the child’s injury was caused by gunfire, police said. Police are investigating the incident. Glastonbury Drive-by Shooting Leaves Woman and Child With Injuries A Hartford woman and her one-year-old son were injured in a drive-by shooting in Glastonbury July 16. At around 10 a.m. that day police responded to a report of a drive-by shooting at Homewood Suites Hotel, 65 Glastonbury Blvd. A dark SUV, with at least two men inside, drive into the back parking lot and discharged a handgun in the direction of the 23-year-old woman and her son, police said. Police Searching For Springfield Woman Family Hasn't Seen Since November Springfield Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 31-year-old woman whose family hasn’t seen her since November. Crystal Delgado was last in contact with her family in November and was last sighted in Chocppee in January. She was recently reported missing to the police, police said. Delgado is known to hang out in the area of Worthington Street as well as School and High streets and Fort Pleasant Avenue. OUI Sobriety Checkpoint Friday in Hartford Hartford Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday, July 17, in the area of 530 Farmington Ave. The checkpoint will be up, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., police said. Officers will randomly stop vehicles at the checkpoint to test for impaired drivers. Operating under the influence, or OUI checkpoints are part of the city’s expanded enforcement program and funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation OUI Enforcement.
