In the months leading up to her death, Megan McNeil bailed her alleged killer, Trey Mahone, out of jail twice before he fatally shot her, according to court documents.
The homicides happened on Aug. 17, when Worcester Police responded to a Huntington Avenue home at around 12:55 a.m. for a report of two people shot, police said. Melanie Coleman, 20, died on Sunday, Nov. 10 after the incident while she was practicing on the bars at the university's campus in New Haven on Friday, Nov. 8.
Coleman, a junior, came to Southern Connecticut State from Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut, where, as a team captain, she was the program's most valuable player and all-state selection.

Sister Camille Marie Black, M.M. died on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Maryknoll Sisters Center in Maryknoll. She was 96 years old and had been a Maryknoll sister for 74 years.
She was born in Andover on Sept. 27, 1923, to Mildred (Hower) Black and Paul Black. She had one brother, Paul and one sister, Virginia; both of whom have predeceased her.
Camille Marie attended Dansville Central High School in Dansville, from 1935 through 1939. After graduating, she studied at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Elmira from 1942 to 1945, where she earned an RN License.

Racquel Ferna M. Mateo of Clifton died on July 28. She was 48 years old.
Born in the Philippines, Racquel came to the U.S. in 1994, her obituary says. She settled in Union before moving to Clifton.
Racquel was a registered nurse who worked as a nurse manager at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for more than 20 years.
