Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Palmyra's Beth Ann Timmons Fought Courageous Battle With Cancer, 48 Beth Ann Timmons, of Palmyra, died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 12 after a courageous battle with cancer, according to an obituary published by Weber Funeral Home. She was 48 years old. Beth was a lifelong area resident, growing up in Cinnaminson and was a graduate of Cinnaminson High School, her obituary said. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton.  Beth was very artistic and went on to attend The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Camden County, State Launch Initiative To Reduce Fatal Crashes On White Horse Pike The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey Attorney General are set to launch a traffic safety initiative to cut down on crashes and improve pedestrian safety along the White Horse Pike.  Last year, there were seven fatal crashes on the state highway. These crashes resulted in eight deaths with five being pedestrians and one being a bicyclist, the county said. Lee was fatally shot on March 9 at the Asselta Acres Apartments, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Trenton Police ID Victim Of Fatal Stabbing In Abandoned Apartment Authorities have identified the Trenton man stabbed to death in an abandoned apartment. Donnell Jenkins, 52, was killed in the Tuesday, March 19 attack, according to the Mercer County Prosecuror's Office. At approximately 2:40 a.m., Trenton police responded to a call at the Kingsbury Square low-rise apartments, the prosecutor said.
