Motorcyclist, 34-Year-Old Dad Killed In Frederick County Crash: 'Devastated'
Tributes were mounting for a 34-year-old man killed in a crash Friday, Nov. 25. John Ryan Coblentz was heading south on a 2002 Harley-Davidson on Winchester Boulevard when he tried to navigate a curve and veered off the roadway around 8 p.m., according to Todd Wivell, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office. The motorcycle went off the road, down into a ditch, struck a steep embankment of a drainage ditch, and came to rest in a gravel area off the right side of the roadway. Funeral Service Scheduled For William Hennecke, 32, Of Fair Lawn
A funeral service is scheduled this week for 32-year-old Fair Lawn native William "Billy" Hennecke. Hennecke was graduated from Fair Lawn High School and Bergen County Tech, where he studied carpentry, his obituary says. He went on to work as an irrigation technician for Garden State Irrigation and Lighting. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing in local lakes and rivers and riding dirt bikes with family and friends. Four people were seriously injured in a head-on Sussex County crash on Saturday, Nov. 25, New Jersey State Police said. A Honda Civic heading south on W. Owassa Turnpike (Route 521) crossed over the double yellow line and struck a Honda CRV heading north, head-on around 11:50 a.m. near milepost 26.2 in Frankford Township, NJSP Sgt. Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Leesburg Crash, Witnesses Sought
Police in Loudoun County are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed a serious pedestrian crash Thanksgiving weekend. A man was struck by a vehicle around 530 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 near the Leesburg Public Safety Center, local police said. The pedestrian was crossing Plaza Street NE in a westbound direction in a marked crosswalk, police said. The driver remained on-scene and is cooperating with police. A New Jersey couple was killed in a crash in Virginia last week, according to their obituaries and news reports. Corey Wetmore, 28, of Brick Township, and Brittany Forsythe, 26, of Browns Mills, both died in the Halifax County crash on Wednesday, Nov. 15, Virginia State Police said. Wetmore was heading south in a 2006 GMC Envoy on a Virginia street around 8:15 p.m., when the vehicle ran off the right shoulder, State Police said.
