She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Street Fight: Man Assaulted, Pulled From Vehicle In Norwalk, Police Say A man was injured after being pulled from his vehicle and assaulted during a large street fight in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Norwalk around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14 in the area of 67 Wall St. According to Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police, police received a call from a victim who said that he had been assaulted during a large street fight. Fatal Crash: 23-Year-Old Thrown From Vehicle In Stamford, Police Say A 23-year-old Stamford man was killed after being thrown from his vehicle during a crash with a car. The incident took place in Stamford around 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 14 in the 1500 block of High Ridge Road. A preliminary investigation into the crash revealed that a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling southbound on High Ridge Road, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, of the Stamford Police. Police Investigating After Person Shot In Norwalk Police are investigating after a man showed up at a hospital in Fairfield County with a gunshot wound. The incident took place in Norwalk around 11:50 p.m., Friday, April 14 in the area of 30 Day St. According to Norwalk PD Deputy Chief Terrence Blake, officers responded to the area of 30 Day St., after receiving multiple calls of shots fired in the area. Post Office Carjacker Nabbed After Foot Chase In Shelton, Police Say A man was nabbed for allegedly robbing and carjacking an elderly woman at a post office in Fairfield County. The incident occurred on Friday, April 14, at the Shelton downtown Post Office. According to Det. Stamford Teen Nabbed With Ghost Gun, High-Capacity Ammo Mags, Police Say A call to the Stamford Police Department's Crime and Gun Stoppers tip line led to the arrest of a teen with an alleged ghost gun and high-capacity ammo magazines. The 17-year-old was arrested in Stamford around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 in the downtown area. Long Island Man Nabbed For Running Down Teen, Speeding Away In BMW, Police Say A Long Island man has been charged with running down a teen on a Citi Bike e-bike and then speeding away in a BMW SUV. Nassau County resident Yaser Ibrahim, age 18, of Levittown, was arrested for the Monday, April 10 incident in Queens. Hudson Valley Man Receives $19K In Fraudulent Worker's Comp, DA Says A Verizon Communications employee in the Hudson Valley has been arrested for allegedly filing fraudulent Worker's Compensation claims.
