She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. 8 Suspected 'Tourist Burglars' In Custody, Greenwich Police Say Eight alleged residential burglars known as "tourist burglars," who work for out-of-country crews have been nabbed for crimes committed in the region. The bust in Fairfield County comes after months of investigating and working with the FBI, and law enforcement departments across the region. Man Calls Police To Admit Killing A CT Woman, Police Say A Connecticut man is being held on a $2 million bond after calling police to say he just shot and killed a woman. The incident took place in New Haven around 1:15 a.m., Sunday, April 23 on Saltonstall Avenue. According to Capt. Rose Dell of the New Haven Police, the dispatch center received a call from Leon Guerrero, age 30, of New Haven, who said he just shot someone on Saltonstall Avenue. 21-Year-Old Caught With Child Sex Videos, Photos, Police Say: Stratford Resident Charged A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly downloading more than 100 child-sex videos of underage girls. Joel Marquez, age 21, of Stratford, was arrested on Wednesday, April 19, and charged with possession of child pornography, said the Stratford Police on Facebook. Stratford detectives, who are members of the Internet Crimes Task Force, investigated Marquez’s actions which led to a search warrant for his electronic devices, police said. The warrant search revealed Marquez had downloaded 22 photos and 117 videos showing pubescent and prepubescent girls in sex acts, police said.…

Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Illegally Killing Bear A Hudson Valley homeowner has been accused of allegedly killing a black bear without provocation. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Saturday, April 22 in the town of Dover. Father Of 12-Year-Old Killed In CT Shooting Also Gunned Down On City Street The father of a 12-year-old Connecticut girl who was killed after being shot twice on a city street also died after being shot a decade before. Hartford County resident Se’Cret Pierce, of Hartford, was shot twice around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at 48 Huntington St., said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police. Wilton Man Charged In Smoke Shop Attack A Wilton man has been charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly walked into an area smoke shop and threw objects at an employee and damaged the store. The incident took in Fairfield County at the Mohegan Smoke Shop at 14 Danbury Road on Wednesday, March 29 in Wilton. According to Wilton Police Capt. The first shooting took place in New Haven around 5:40 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 in the area of Huntington and Dixwell Avenues. Florida Man Uses Lit Cigar As Weapon During Long Island Bar Assault, Police Say A Florida man was arrested for allegedly attacking a customer at a popular Long Island restaurant and bar with a lit cigar and a glass bottle.
