Multi-Car Crash Sends 6 To Hospital, Knocks Out Power In Capital Region During Morning Commute Six people are hospitalized following a multi-car crash that knocked out power to a busy stretch of roadway in the region. The Albany County wreck happened at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, in Colonie on Wolf Road near Marcus Boulevard. 5 NY ShopRite Stores Permanently Close Supermarket chain ShopRite has permanently closed five of its New York stores. Parolee Shoots Through Ex-Girlfriend’s Long Island Front Door, Police Say Police are asking for help in locating a prison parolee accused of shooting through the front door of a woman’s Long Island home. The alleged incident happened at around 1 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at a Central Islip home located on Irving Street. Joseph Bunce, age 35, fired multiple shots through his ex-girlfriend’s front door, according to Suffolk County Police. Nobody was injured in the shooting. Orange County resident Michael Meyers, age 62, of Port Jervis, was arraigned in White Plains federal court on Monday, Nov. 20.
