Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car Near Capital Region College A man is fighting for his life after being struck by a car near a college campus in the region. The incident happened at around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 in Schenectady near Union College. Schenectady Police said the victim was struck as he walked along Van Vranken Avenue near Kenwood Street. Man Killed In Overnight Fire At Long Island Home A man has been found dead hours after a fire tore through a Long Island home. Firefighters were called at around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, for a fire at a Melville house located on Wilmington Drive near Westbourne Lane.
