Elmwood Park School Plans Fundraiser For Local Family
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — Students and staff at St. Leo’s School in Elmwood Park can dress down on Monday, Jan. 25 if they make a donation to help a local family. A "black and white" dress down day will help raise money for "Rare and Beautiful." Rare and Beautiful is a foundation run by the Ingui family of Elmwood Park. They started the organization to raise awareness for a rare genetic disorder their daughter Denise Ingui, 15, was diagnosed with in 2015. BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — The smoking age won’t be raised to 21 in New Jersey following Gov. Chris Christie’s veto of the measure, reports the Asbury Park Press. The Legislation would have raised the minimum age for buying cigarettes and electronic smoking devices and had passed by wide margins in both the Senate and the Assembly, reports the Asbury Park Press. One Killed, One Injured In Mount Kisco House Fire
This story has been updated. MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. — A house fire on St. Marks Place in Mount Kisco Wednesday morning has left one person dead and another injured, according to multiple reports. WALLINGTON, N.J. — The new Wallington mayor is cracking down on a illegal apartments, a problem that’s plagued the borough for over 20 years, reports northjersey.com.
