Photos: Flames Tear Through Outside Of Peekskill Home A fast response by firefighters helped prevent major damage during a house fire in northern Westchester on Monday morning, July 21.  City of Peekskill Fire Department crews were called to a home on Bernard Road in the Highland Park neighborhood around 10 a.m., the department said. When firefighters arrived, they found active flames on the outside of a single-family home. The fire was beginning to spread to an outside wall. Alert Issued For Man Missing For Over Week In Clarkstown Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who has been missing from his Rockland County home for more than a week.  Keith Moran, age 59, was reported missing from his Clarkstown home on Sunday, July 13, the Clarkstown Police Department said on Saturday, July 19. He has not been seen since. Moran walks with a limp and has several tattoos, including a small red cross on his right cheek. Police believe he may be in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Sailboat In Distress, Missing Swimmer Both Saved Off Rye Coast On Same Day Police responded to two marine emergencies off the Westchester coast on the same evening.  The first call came in on Thursday evening, July 17, reporting a sailboat in distress off of Manursing Island, the City of Rye Police Department said on Friday, July 18.  Rye Bay Constables soon found the vessel and assisted a sailor in need of help. The boat was safely towed to Port Chester Harbor, where the sailor was evaluated by EMS and declined medical attention.
