Palisade Center Owners, Seeking Retail Space, Sue Clarkstown
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. --Â The owners of Palisades Center have sued Clarkstown over what they are calling an "illegal" convenant that prevents them from improving the mall without a pubic referendum, according to a report by lohud.com.
Eklecco Newco LLC, which is affiliated with Syracuse-based Pyramid Companies, said it has been battling for years to convert 250,000 square feet of unused space in the West Nyack mall into new retail stores, lohud.com reported.

Wappinger, Union Officials Meeting On Highway Department Situation
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Wappinger officials and union representatives were expected to have a sit-down today on the situation roiling the town’s highway department, according to a report by The Poughkeepsie Journal.
The department is facing a potential shake-up in the wake of two harassment complaints – one launched by Craig Bova, an employee, and the other by its former deputy supervisor, Troy Swain, The Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
