Amor Angela is being brewed by Drunken Rabbit in Chicopee to honor Angela Santiago, a Chicopee police officer who was killed in an off-duty motorcycle crash in June. Connecticut State Police are investigating reports that gunshots were fired Sunday morning on the Exit 19 off-ramp of Route 9 south in Cromwell. Drivers of white and red sedans exchanged gunfire at around 10:20 a.m. Stray bullets struck a vehicle with two children inside, but there were no injuries, police said. Good Boy, Yodel! CT Police Dog Makes Big Drug Bust A police dog named Yodel made a huge drug bust on I-91 on Thursday, Aug. 20. During a routine traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Meriden, police had Yodel, a narcotics detective dog, walk around the vehicle. The dog indicated the presence of narcotics, police said. Officers allegedly discovered a suitcase with more than 2 kilograms of cocaine inside. The Texas driver was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell and is being held on a $250,00 bond.

Hampden County’s largest cities continue to steadily reduce the number of positive COVID-19 tests among its residents, according to the most recent information from the Baker Administration.
