Bridgeport Police Warn Public Of Burglary Suspect At-Large After Escape BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Bridgeport Police Department has issued a warning to the public that a burglary suspect is at-large after escaping from police custody.  Nelson Vega, 29, of Stratford was arrested and booked on charges in a non-violent burglary on Tuesday.  Vega escaped police custody at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday while being transferred from the Bridgeport Police Department to the Golden Hill Street courthouse in Bridgeport for arraignment, police said.  The Bridgeport Police are asking that anyone with knowledge on Vega's whereabouts call the Detective Bureau at 203-581-5201.
