Jury Find Bridgeport Teen Not Guilty In Gangland-Style Shooting Death
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport teenager was found not guilty Friday in a downtown gangland-style shooting death on Aug. 10, 2014, according to the Connecticut Post.
Kahlil Diaz, 17, was found not guilty of first-degree manslaughter and conspiracy by a jury after about four hours of deliberations, the Post reported.
The teen was accused of driving the car when the shooter jumped out at Park Avenue and Olive Street, and pistol-whipped and shot Ryan Hernandez, 21, to death, the Post said.

Weston Board Of Education Proposes 1.68 Percent Budget Increase
WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Board of Education made cuts to staffing and other areas following a proposed 1.68 percent increase in the operating budget for the academic 2016-17 year, according to The Weston Forum.
Schools Superintendent Colleen Palmer said the administration and school board spent months working on a fiscally responsible budget, The Weston Forum reported.
The proposed budget of $49,317,488 reflects an $813,707 increase from this year's budget, said The Weston Forum.
