Pedestrian Killed Crossing Road In Glen Head: Nassau Detectives
A man struck and killed while crossing Glen Cove Road in Glen Head has been identified, Nassau County Police said on Wednesday, June 11.
Jose Ruben Fernandez, 45, of Glen Cove, was fatally hit around 10:26 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, near Cedar Swamp Road, according to the Homicide Squad.
Detectives say Fernandez was attempting to cross Glen Cove Road when he was struck by a silver 2003 Chevrolet Impala traveling southbound. He suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medic.

Willie Hensley Jr., of Thurmont, was driving a 2015 Toyota Highlander around 9 a.m. Thursday, June 5, when he attempted to turn south onto Old Frederick Road from Devilbiss Bridge Road in Lewistown, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
