Major Hurricane Headed To US Could Have Impact In Northeast
Hurricane Ida, just upgraded from tropical storm status, is expected to make landfall in the United States as a major Category 3 or 4 hurricane on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated New Orleans and much of the Gulf Coast. The storm's long-term track takes it north and then east, with a possible impact on the Northeast in the middle of next week.
